What is an RSS Feed?
From Wikipedia: “RSS is a simple XML-based system that allows users to subscribe to their favorite websites. Using RSS, webmasters can put their content into a standardized format, which can be viewed and organized through RSS-aware software or automatically conveyed as new content on another website.“
How do I read these feeds?
All you need is an RSS reader (often called a News Reader), which will automatically download new articles from the RSS feed as they become available. There are many RSS readers available, including downloadable apps and web-based solutions. Most email programs (Microsoft Outlook 2007 or above, Mac Mail, Thunderbird, etc.) can be used to subscribe to RSS feeds. Google Reader and Bloglines are just a couple of the many popular web-based readers available.
